Team IVF

IVF Treatment

Health, Wellness & Planning

We encourage patients to focus on optimizing their health and wellness before and during treatment. We recommend working with our friends at A to Z Fertility, our partners in Naturopathic Medicine.

Fertility care can be emotionally challenging. We encourage you to seek support from friends, family, and/or a partner. We also recommend BRIA for mental health support.

Thinking about when to get started with treatment?

When you begin, Team IVF will take care of you for approximately 7 weeks. We have created an online calendaring tool to help you determine the right time to start your treatment. This personalized calendar will provide you with approximate timelines including estimated dates for treatment and clinic visits.

  • Choose a month when you will be available to come into the clinic for an in-person visit including blood work, ultrasound and medication pick up between cycle day 3-5 of your period.

  • HFC is open for monitoring Mon-Fri from 7:00am-10:40am, and weekends by appointment only.

We know that egg number and egg quality decline with time, and this is why we encourage patients to move forward with care as soon as they can.

To get started with your Egg Freezing Treatment Cycle, please call the clinic on Day 1 of your period (first day of full flow bleeding) at 416-595-0077.

If you do not have regular periods, to start the treatment cycle, we would need to bring you in for a random day assessment. Please call the clinic at the number above.

Health, Wellness and Supplements

We recommend that you meet with our friends at A to Z Fertility and that you get started on supplements as soon as possible to support egg health.

Mental Health Support with BRIA

Virtual mental health support on your fertility journey, provided by our friends at BRIA

We are here to support you. The journey of infertility and fertility treatments can be challenging. Despite the challenges, most patients adjust well emotionally to IVF when supported, and preparing your body and mind can help with this. Please consider reaching out to BRIA.

Mood changes are common with hormone medication and people with underlying mental health conditions experience this more often than those who do not. You may notice an increase in symptoms of anxiety or low mood so if you are taking medications for mental health, we recommend you stay on these medications, and reach out to a counsellor or BRIA if you need extra support.

If you would like a list of additional counsellors who specialize in fertility counselling, please speak to a member of your care team.
